Nothing Gold Can Stay
One of the first poems I memorized that I still remember is Robert Frost's "Nothing Gold Can Stay" in 7th or 8th grade. I recite it every year and love the memories it evokes. Spring has always been one of my favorite seasons (though usually when I'm suffering from intense sinus headaches at the start of the season it quickly loses its #1 place to Fall), and especially was my favorite growing up in the Northeast where the spring was a welcome reprieve from the intense cold and bleakness of winter.
This year in Pennsylvania, daffodils started popping up and I grabbed some bundles in the grocery store for my daughters' teachers; overnight they started to bloom and I was filled with the hope that warmer and brighter days are ahead!
This painting is painted with acrylic paint on a 1.5" thick canvas that you can immediately hang on the wall, or frame if that better fits your aesthetic. It's varnished for long life and will add a gorgeous pop of color--and reminder of the hope of spring--in any room of your home!
